How Much is Tooth Bonding?

Posted in Cosmetic Dentistry, Dentists on 10/Oct/2011

Bonding is a way to get the smile you wish you had been born with. If your teeth are healthy, it’s one of the most cost effective ways to correct a smile, mend a chipped tooth, take care of discolorations, gaps, and even correct minor decay. Before a bonding procedure, many people opt for a teeth whitening so they can have a perfectly white  and dazzling smile.

The resin used is a mix of plastic and glass resins and the color of the material used will be mixed to match your tooth enamel color. Once applied the mix will be heat set with a bright light to become “workable” and then will be smoothed to blend and match your other teeth

Most dental bonding procedures can be completed in just one visit and it’s not often that more than one visit is required unless you’re having several teeth done.  The resins used in bonding will generally be good for around 10 years, and even longer if you keep good dental hygiene.  The cost of dental bonding is somewhere in the $ 200 – $ 600 range, but may vary from state to state and depending on your individual needs.
