Dentist Buying Halloween Candy for Troops Overseas
Posted in Dentists, General Dentistry on 27/Oct/2011

Lighted Toothbrushes exchanged for candy!
Remember earlier in the week when we told you about Dr. Craig Callen, and how he was buying children’s candy and giving away toothbrushes, money and prizes? Another dentist is doing a solid with the Halloween candy too.
Dr. David Kuban, a Pekin dentist, is willing to give trick-or-treaters $1 for every pound of trick-or-treat candy turned into his office Tuesday, the day after Halloween.
Except Dr. Kuban is collecting the candy to ship overseas for the enlisted men and women to enjoy.
“I think it’s pretty good to get some of that candy out of the kids’ mouths and over to the troops,” Kuban said.
Besides paying $1 a pound for candy, Kuban will give the post-trick-or-treat group a lighted toothbrush and foot the bill for shipping candy to Operation Gratitude, a California-based volunteer outfit that ships care packages to soldiers.
